The Ten Commandments 1956
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
I have seen a few Ten Commandments movies but this one with Charlton Heston is by far the best. It follows the story/history of Moses starting from as a baby being put in Nile where he floats down to the palace where he is taken and raised as royalty — Moses learns his true origin and seeks out his slave mother — gives up his position in the royal family — leads his people (Jews) out of Egypt — parts the Red Sea — receives the Ten Commandments from the Lord — leads his people to the promised land. Great acting & special effects.
I grew up watching this every Easter and now that I can’t turn on a tv without seeing some form of degeneracy (((Thank You Obama))) I can watch this dvd without having to see the shame of my species.
Cecil B. DeMille’s final feature, and it would end up being his most famous, as well as his most beloved. The story is already familiar to many, so what should be talked about is the incredible sets, as well as locals. It feels SO authentic as compared to these days, where we have green or blue screen and all the digital work that goes with it. For some reason, Hollywood today has a harder time making Biblical epics. It just lacks the spectacle of yesteryear.
I’ve watched this classic more times than I can count in the ensuing 63 years, and never tire of it! For me, it’s a worship experience. I never tire of seeing the glorious works of our awesome Lord God portrayed. It makes me yearn even more for the day He will return to earth to bring all his children home to heaven to spend eternity with Him. What will happen to you when that day (the Rapture) comes? If you’ve never asked Jesus into your life as your Savior & Lord, do so now! Then read I John along with the Gospel of John for greater understanding. May God bless you!
