Dragon Ball Super – Part Five [Blu-ray]
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
I love it as much as the original and Z. The main reason I’m giving 4 stars is with the sets involving their episode content, because it’s been very annoying that each set has only been 13 episodes each. Supers version of Battle of Gods was 14 episodes long, but the first set only had its first 13 episodes and you had to wait till set 2 came out just to complete the arc and it was the same thing for Resurrection F, Universe 6, and yes even the Goku Black arc which is pretty stupid honestly. I’m not hating on Funimation I get they want to make as many sets as possible for Super which I have no problem with, but they really need to put more then 13 episodes in a set because it’s a real pain to have to wait 2-4 months just to complete an arc.
Part 5 and onwards I’m not to sure on but here’s what I think the episode content for Parts 1-4 could’ve been like:
Part 1 episodes 1-14
Part 2 episodes 15-27
Part 3 episodes 28-46
Part 4 episodes 47-67
Dragon Ball Super continues covering new ground. Unlike the first two sets, this is not retelling the events of a movie, this is more of the Zamasu/Goku Black arc. The animation, character designs, action, and new ideas introduced are all great and welcome additions to the universe (multiverse). If you are a fan this is a great continuation of the series, however, this isn’t the best point of entry for the uninitiated…-Six20Seven
Lots of action! Starts with the Zamasu side plot, ends with the climax. Shame that it’s missing the last 2 episodes. Disc one has most of the episodes, disc 2 has like three and the extras don’t make up for it.-Alex
