Sherlock Season 4 [Blu-ray]

Yes, I was Sherlock groupie at one point in my life, but to be quite frank, from the last apisode of season 3 to the entirety of season 4, I have not been at all impressed with the writing and the direction they took the characters. Seriously, it got weird, and not a good, interesting weird either. Midday has always been hit or miss for me, Doctor Who has its moments, but is not consistently good, which is why I had hoped that Sherlock would see its end in this season, I imagine the calamity that season 5 will be and shudder. Love the first 2 seasons and season 3 episodes 1&2 are great, but everything after is far too strange and deviates too far from Doyle’s tradition. Which blows my mind,since the guy was a genius. Stick close to the original stuff please.-FaultyPetal

Sadly, the emphasis has gone from clever mysteries to self-absorption. Not that Sherlock & Dr. Watson aren’t interesting characters, but it’s become all about them. Oh, and the general tone is now so over-the-top that even the suspension of disbelief doesn’t help.- Hotrock

You won’t find a bigger Holmes fan than me. But this season was such a disappointment. I wanted to love it so much, but the treatment of most of the female characters, the lazy continuity errors and plot holes, and insane storyline made it one of the most heartbreakingly disappointing viewing experiences I can remember.
