The Simpsons – Season 18
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
For what ever reason Season 18 and 19 have been MIA forever so I’m happy to finally be able to purchase them and complete the collection (so far). As another reviewer stated the HD version of Season 18 & I’m guessing Season 19 has been “stretched” to be Wide Screen. If this is a deal breaker for you I might suggest buying the “SD Version”. I can’t say if it will be 4:3 ratio for certain but if it’s anything like the Simpsons world website through FXX then the SD will be 4:3 while the HD is “stretched.” If anyone wants to confirm that would be great. I was going to name my top 5 favorites but there are so many good episodes this season – from Dark Stanley to the “24” episode and who could forget Bartman Begins.- Jay
It’s about time. I actually considered buying bootleg seasons before this came out. I don’t know what Fox is thinking but some of us like to physically own their shows. Ownership does not mean “I have a digital copy of it” and it IS NOT OK if I’ve got to sign in or register on Simpsons.com, Fox.com, or FFX.com just to watch an episode or two. To the people responsible, please continue to produce The Simpsons on DVD.- robt00
OMG FINALLY FOX LISTENS, this has been in huge demand since we got season 17 released, lets hope they keep the realization that there are fans that prefer to have the physical media compared to the digital, I personally just got the digital version a week ago and its the stretched tv FXX airing instead of the original airing which would of been still in Full Screen 4:3 format yet, one has to wonder since fox finally listened to the backlash of stopping home release that they will offer a Blu-ray version as well as the fans of the show will buy them, now lets hope they release season 19 shortly after as the streaming version sucks plus seasons 21- 28 current as this writing, simpsons is one of the longest running shows in the US PERIOD, over 600 episodes as of season 28 which was very awesome being the Halloween episode, fox im impressed you listened to your fans but don’t make this mistake again as im not sure the fans will stay with you if you drop the ball again-jc
