I am certain that this review will not help anyone unless you had the same technical problem. Unfortunately this is about the quality of the first DVD disc, not the quality of the show itself. It locked and skipped 8 times during the viewing – and this is unique to this disk – others work fine on our new player. Even with that issue, the parts we saw were very good, although we are not completely sure about the entire episode until we see it all. I plan to return the set and hope to get a new one that works well.-Frederick G. Brems

Despite the lead actor’s abuse imbroglio, his dismissal from the series is an unnecessary dissappointment. This is a must have sophisticated and addictive entertainment product that you can binge on again and again. So glad that a 5th season was available.-Doctor O

While season 5 of House of Cards is important to understand the complete story of Clair and Frank Underwood, the series begins to unravel and the writing becomes more cloudy as the cast and writers have to contend with the real life scandal of star Kevin Spacey’s lifestyle and a very public self outing. Hence, his removal from the cast and as an Executive Producer during season 6.-George L. Winship
