Once Upon a Time Season 7
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Once is a Disney Product. This was not a Disney release. It was obvious from the get go. No copyright statements, ads that appeared on screen during airing of episodes, the pics, and jacket statements were not relevant to this particular season. The product had the same statements from Season One of Once. I reported that this was a pirated product to Amazon. I hope fellow Once fans will boycott this release sold by a 3rd party vendor.-Mary Hamlin-Scofield
I just wanted to offer a reminder to people who buy the season pass. It seems with every TV show, at least one (usually several) people leave scathing reviews, not about the show, but about their disappointment at not getting the entire season instantly. Please understand that when you purchase a season pass, you get the episodes as they are released. You can’t get the entire season now because the entire season hasn’t even been filmed yet. You’ll get each episode a few hours after they air on TV. The TV pass is awesome! Once you buy it, the season is yours forever. You may watch the episodes as many times as you like. It’s a good deal! But PLEASE understand what you’re buying. It’s not fair to punish a fantastic TV show because you failed to understand what you paid for.
Obviously, I can’t review the season because it hasn’t been released yet. I will say that I’m surprised by how excited I am! When I found out so much of the cast was leaving, I was not happy! I love Emma Swan and will miss her character immensely. That said, the show needed a big change and I trust the producers of Once Upon a Time to do the right thing. I’m SO excited that Princess Tiana will finally show up. She’s one of my favorite characters EVER. I appreciated Disney for creating a beautiful, yet strong and determined woman. I know they’ll do her justice on OUaT. I’m looking forward to the grown-up Henry and his daughter Lucy. And I heard they’re going to have a new Rapunzel! I was so disappointed that her story began and ended in a single episode. I hope we see a lot of her in season 7.-E
I have been a huge fan of OUAT for all seasons. I understand the frustration and critical reviews of this season. I was not impressed with the first or second episode, but the third was a bit better, and the fourth with Belle and Rumple is thus far the best of the whole thing. My suggestion is to keep watching, and hope it keeps getting better. It’s hard to let go of the old characters, and get used to a new town and story line, but if you accept that this is truly a “new chapter” with new characters to develop and grow, I think it will be a promising fresh start. Tilly (a.k.a., Alice) has me hooked. I already love her. And now that it seems Rumple is remembering who he is again, I think things will start to get very interesting. Regina is still awesome, Hook is a little awkward but I have high hopes. Rumple and Belle are amazing, as always. My main gripe is with Henry, Jacinda, and Lucy. Henry is kind of bland, Jacinda has passion but doesn’t quite make it, and Lucy seems forced and doesn’t capture my attention like little Henry did. Ivy gets on my nerves, though episode four helped her character a bit. And Victoria is just a snob and doesn’t have the same juicy evilness that you love to hate that Regina did as the evil queen. However, I accept that these are new characters and actors new to the show that have to find their own rhythm and develop as they go along. I wasn’t quite fond of the first couple of episodes of Season 1, either, but I kept watching, and I am so glad I did. I have hopes that this new chapter will get better, too. Judging from episode 4, I truly think it will.
