Sons of Anarchy: Season 7 [Blu-ray]

This was the only season of the series that, at least in the first half of the season did not live up to the prior seasons’ great writing. It initially lost track of what made the series special, the human relationships, and involved way too much wanton violence. However, the writing came back in the last half of the season, to the end, and lived up to the high expectations, with a very satisfying ending. The fewer stars are solely because of the disappointing first half of the season only. I would rank this series as one of the best of all time, along with The Shield, Breaking Bad and Justified. It was very cool, as a fan of The Shield and Deadwood to see so many actors from those shows, appear as guests throughout the series, and all underplayed and not trying to make a point of the guest appearance, as so many shows do now. They blended in with the show perfectly and in no way took the viewer out of the story being told. I am very glad I finally bought the DVD of the first season and started watching just in May 2018, so I was way late in knowing about this series. Bought the rest of the seasons and just finished Season Seven before May ended. Never lost interest, never bored-Doug Richard

iWatched SONS 3y after airing ended on television – I was going to quit because the 1st few episodes of season 1 were blah & slow so I was feeling disappointed w/ all the hype I heard about the show – Sticking it out I’m glad I did! – I became so emotionally attached to the characters it was kinda of ridiculous having to tell myself it’s just a TV show – But at the same time it’s not really ridiculous because I believe that anyone who watches it can relate in some form or fashion because just as much as it was a show about crime; drugs, guns, sex, etc…, it was a show about life; family, love, trust, etc.., & we all have some of the same or similar issues when it comes to those things. There is so much more iCan say, but I’d rather you watch it and feel the show for yourself.

The show wrapped up where it began. The major questions were answered. A few minor questions were left open.

Character wise, everyone came into their own. The SAMCRO boys all showed their metal. Tig finds love and in a way only he can. Chibs too. The supporting cast got their due as well. Chucky shows that he has heart instead of just being the guy that runs naked through the hospital as a distraction. T.O. got an awesome story in the last episode that we’ll never see the ending for I bet.-John
