Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle -UK Region

DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:

This was surprisingly entertaining. I was not expecting to like this movie. The trailers looked kind of stupid. I only bought it because my wife is a big fan of the Rock. But damn! This was just a fun lighthearted adventure romp of the sort we really need more of. Everything that turd of a Tomb Raider movie wasn’t, this movie is. I’m not a huge Jack Black fan, but Jack Black playing a vain teenage girl stuck in Jack Black’s body was hilarious. The entire cast had great chemistry. It’s a pure popcorn movie. Doesn’t have major substance. Doesn’t need major substance. Tonally it felt like a good fun lighthearted 80’s or early 90’s action romp.

Dare I say it, even better than the original! My 7-year-old son and I watched it at the theater and were practically rolling on the floor laughing so hard. Our cheeks were sore after Haha I immediately waited to pre-order it and then counted the days until it was available! Great cast, constant humor that both children and adults can enjoy, lots of twists, and even has an underlying heartfelt storylines in it. I love how the characters in the game get to do some off-the-wall moves just like you’d be able to do if you really were in a game. Hands down the BEST family film of the year so far!- WhovianGirl

This was a great “sequel” to the beloved original film. It was totally different from the first, updated to reflect the times, which was a refreshing surprise. I was worried it would attempt to be a “reboot” or remake. A nod to Robin Williams’ character in the first film was poignant and appreciated. My husband, kids, and I have enjoyed watching this version immensely and have watched it probably 8 to 10 times since we purchased it a few weeks ago. Kevin Hart steals the show but Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Dwayne Johnson more than hold their own. Nick Jonas was probably the weakest link, in terms of acting, but held his own against a confident, powerhouse cast. Bobby Canavale was a creepy and sadistic antagonist and was present just enough to keep viewers on the edges of their seats without taking focus away from the chemistry of the main cast. As a child of the ’70’s and ’80’s, the game was reminiscent of the Atari, Colecovision, and Nintendo “adventure” games we played back then. The NPCs were faithful to the time and amusing additions to the storyline. I don’t want to include any spoilers but suffice it to say the timeline was similar to the first movie (character believes he’s been gone for a few months when it’s actually been 20 years). I really loved that their memories of the game were intact at the end – including the memories of the character who entered Jumanji first. This is a lighthearted and fun action movie that’s appropriate for most of the family (there are quite a few sexual and anatomical innuendos that will likely be misunderstood or unnoticed by very young children and one of the main characters is in extremely skimpy attire throughout the film – a fact that is addressed with incredulity and doesn’t affect her ability to be the strongest and best fighter in the group). Stay through the credits to view the bonus material – the gag reel is short but amusing.- Geckotatgirl
