How refreshing to watch a comedy that really IS a comedy! I’m sure you know what I mean…you need a little comic relief so you rent a movie categorized as “comedy” or tune into a sitcom which promises laughter and each may earn a lackadaisical “haha” or “heh” but no laugh out loud, no laugh til you snort. Why is it that the “medicine” we need most (laughter) is so hard to find? We have ‘high drama’ a plenty, ‘horror’ out of our ears but comedy? It’s a desert out there. So when a friend recommended Parks and Recreation I was skeptical. I like smart humor, character humor, and humor that does not demean anyone, but allows us to look at our own disfunctional selves more lightly. Ellen Degeneres humor. Parks and Recreation made me laugh out loud… a lot. I love every character and his or her quirkiness. Well, done, P&R Crew!-Patricia Lucia

One of the greatest shows ever! I found season 6 to be an improvement over season 5. Writing out Chris and ‘the nurse’ was an improvement because it freed up time for more of the exisiting supporting cast. Ann was always kinda the ‘straight man’ type character and they never seemed to really get the most out of Rob Lowe.- keith miller
