Beautiful hand-painted animation, this film was amazing when I saw in in my local arthouse theater and I knew immediately I wanted my own copy. Aside from the unique look of the movie, it had a really engaging storyline: was Van Gogh murdered or did he commit suicide? Definitely deserving of its Academy Award nomination, and it should win!

I bought this special edition specifically for the digital download, because I like the convenience of streaming. So yes, it’s aggravating that the code only works on FandangoNow instead of options that would allow me to access the film through other services I already use. I enjoyed all the additional bonus features though, and the artsy postcards were a nice touch as well.-LegoGirl

A beautiful story about the mystery around the death of Van Gogh told thru his pictures. 100 artists created the frames for this animated movie with each frame done in Van Gogh’s style. I’ve watched it several times. The move comes with a coupon inside from Fandango to download the movie. I had a problem with that but I got it fixed. See my next comment. This complication is why I gave the purchase four stars instead of five. You may want to consider buying directly from Fandango. The movie is just $9.99 on their website with a 20% discount, so about $7.80 or so. I like getting my movies on hard disc, -KrazyKows
