I took my kids to see this in the theater then we watched it together again when it came out on DVD. I was very glad I did because I have a 7 year old with Autism and she loved the movie so much as it helped her talk about her own problems with ‘Rules’ at school. The ending with the big reveal had me in tears, it’s such a perfect movie for parents and kids to watch together.-Physiux

This was a fun school movie. Very impressed with the art sequences. Some people might think some of the characters were overdone, but they were intended to be larger than life. Such as the principal and the mother’s boyfriend. The acting was pretty good. Griffin Gluck did a good job as the lead. One thing I will say, I was not expecting to cry. 7-year-old wanted to watch this movie, and I was just happy to graduate from Pokemon and Frozen to get here. The movie is actually HIGHLY entertaining. I. Loved. It. Happily bought it and have it as part of our collection now. Keep in mind that the topic of sibling death is explored… It went over my son’s head, somehow, but it’s still good to be aware of. It was handled very movingly, in my mind. Very entertaining movie!- Susan P.
