Narcos: Season 3 – UK Region
DVD Wholesale Quick Overview:
Now that the bloody hunt for Pablo Escobar has ended, the DEA turns its attention to the richest drug trafficking organization in the world: the Cali Cartel. Led by four powerful godfathers, this cartel operates much differently than Escobar’s, preferring to bribe government officials and keep its violent actions out of the headlines.
Would you watch Breaking Bad without Walter White? House of Cards sans Frank Underwood? Bake Off minus the big white tent? Some elements of a television series are so crucial it’s impossible to imagine the show without them. In the case of Netflix cocaine caper Narcos, the seemingly irreplaceable component was moustache-twirling kingpin Pablo Escobar.
As brought searingly to the screen by Brazilian actor Wagner Moura, Escobar was Don Draper and Tony Montana rolled into one: a complex, even sympathetic individual who was also a murderous maniac.
But Escobar died at the end of season two, gunned down, as in real life, on a rooftop in his home town of Medellín. For its next chapter, Narcos would have to remake itself .

“Narcos” has never been a simple show to process, especially for someone not embedded in this universe — there are many players, many complications, speaking in many languages, operating decades ago.
But it is one of the great examples of shows that have improved thanks to the opportunity to grow and evolve, and Season 3 continues that journey with an investment in human storytelling.
The third season of the Netflix period drama, circling around the drug cartels that gave birth to an international addiction to cocaine and the American war on drugs that failed to prevent it, had a major challenge ahead of it. For two seasons, “Narcos” had Pablo Escobar, one of the most famous drug kingpins of all time, at its center. Escobar was a fascinating character, anchored by an award-nominated performance by Wagner Moura, but at the end of Season 2, Escobar’s journey on the show ended.

The first two seasons of Netflix’s Narcos were defined by the storyline of a single character: Pablo Escobar, as portrayed with magnetic charisma by Wagner Moura (who actually had to learn to speak Spanish for the part). Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) and Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl) were the two U.S. DEA agents leading the effort to finally take down the drug kingpin, and by the end of the series’s second season, they’d done just that.
