This ONA absolutely blew me away. It is an amazing port from episodic to movie format; not skipping a beat between transitions at all. I’d like to point out that the voice casting and English dub is spectacular. Amazon may still have this listed as subtitled only, but I can confirm that the English dub comes default. This has to be one of the best Gundam series in my personal opinion. It has a very dark story but it shows another side of what the war was doing to people. Io Fleming from the efsf and Darryl from zeon, a bitter fight to the end and an epic story depicted during the one year war. From the movie to the story and how fast pace it keeps you wanting more and ready for the 2nd thunderbolt to come out already.-Luis

I’ve loved Gundam for a long time (ever since I caught a few episodes of 8th MS Team on Toonami’s giant robot week way back when), and Thunderbolt is by far my favorite Gundam series. It’s bombastic, quirky, exhilarating, and heart-wrenching. I heartily advise it to anyone who loves watching two giant robots fence with particle cannons in space.-Morgan Hubert

Great Universal Century Side story addition to the Gundam Universe! Story is very fluid and easy to follow allowing good character development. The music is fantastic throughout the series. The mobile suit action is action is well done throughout the animation.- Ectojay
